Users create a personal access token (read-only or read-write, up to 20 tokens, optional expiry, revocable, stored only as a SHA-256 hash) and add their private endpoint to an MCP client such as Claude, Claude Code or Cursor. Read tools: list_flights, get_flight, list_aircraft, search_airports, get_statistics, get_duty_report, list_licences, list_students, get_costs, get_currency, get_licence_progress, estimate_night_time, get_flight_weather. Write tools (read-write tokens only): add_flight, update_flight, delete_flight, add_aircraft, add_ground_duty. Example setup for Claude Code: ```bash claude mcp add --transport http flightlogbook "https://mcp.flightlogbook.cloud/u/your-name" --header "Authorization: Bearer flb_…" ``` Signed entries cannot be changed through the API or MCP, and every change appears in the user's change history. The same tokens work on the REST API, and HMAC-signed webhooks are available for flight.created, flight.updated, flight.deleted and flight.signed. AI paper-logbook scanning (beta): photographed pages are turned into draft entries for review. Only pages the user chooses to scan are sent to Anthropic for processing. ## Pricing There is one plan with all features. The free trial lasts 90 days and needs no credit card. - 12 months: €40 one-time payment - 24 months + 3 months free (27 months total): €80 one-time payment - 36 months + 6 months free (42 months total): €120 one-time payment - Prices include 20 % Austrian VAT (net €33.33 per 12 months). Consumers in other EU countries pay their own country's VAT rate. EU businesses with a valid VAT ID are charged by reverse charge, and customers outside the EU pay no VAT. - Payment is handled by Stripe Checkout. There is no automatic renewal, and renewing early adds the new term to the current end date. - Referral: when an invited friend registers, both people get 6 months free. - After expiry, the account becomes read-only, while viewing, PDF reports and full export keep working. - EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. ## Data protection and hosting - Hosted on the operator's own servers in Austria, replicated to a second data centre in Austria. - No tracking cookies and no analytics. Sign-in is by password or passkey (WebAuthn), and you can view and revoke your sessions. - Third parties: Stripe for payments; NOAA Aviation Weather Center and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet for weather (only the airport code and time are sent); OpenStreetMap tiles on the map page; Anthropic only when the user starts a logbook scan. - Full data export (ZIP with CSV, JSON and documents) and account deletion are available at any time. ## Limitations (stated for accuracy) - No native iOS/Android store apps yet. The web app is installable as a PWA. - No ADS-B lookup import. - No flight-school scheduling or organisation accounts. Instructor–student links are individual. - Acceptance of electronic logbooks is decided by each national authority under AMC1 FCL.050. ## Frequently asked questions ### Is an electronic logbook accepted under EASA rules? Yes, with one condition. AMC1 FCL.050 allows electronic logbooks in a format acceptable to your competent authority. flightlogbook.cloud prints the AMC1 FCL.050 layout with page totals, your signature and a verifiable SHA-256 hash chain. Acceptance is decided nationally, so check with your authority (for example Austro Control or the LBA) before you rely on it for a licence application. ### Which aircraft and time types can I log? You can log aeroplanes, gliders (with launch method), helicopters, gyroplanes, ultralights and simulator (FSTD) sessions. For time, it records SE/ME/multi-pilot, night, IFR, PIC, PICUS, SPIC, co-pilot, dual, instructor, examiner and cruise relief time, plus day and night landings, approaches by type, and custom fields. ### Can I import my existing logbook? Yes. There are importers for ForeFlight, LogTen, MyFlightbook, mccPILOTLOG/CrewLounge, Safelog and Garmin Pilot, plus a generic CSV column mapper. You can also import GPX/KML/IGC tracks and iCalendar rosters. Each import shows a preview and a dry run first, and duplicates are skipped. ### What happens when my subscription ends? Nothing is deleted. Your logbook becomes read-only, and you can still view it, print PDFs and export everything. Renew whenever you like, and the new term adds to any time you have left. ### Will I be charged automatically? No. Every term is a one-time payment through Stripe and never renews automatically. The trial needs no payment details. ### Where is my data stored? On our own servers in Austria, replicated to a second data centre in Austria. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We use no tracking cookies and no analytics. ### Does it work on my phone or offline? Yes. flightlogbook.cloud is an installable web app (PWA) for phone, tablet and desktop. Flights you enter offline are queued and sync automatically when you are back online. Native store apps are planned. ### How does the AI integration work? Create a personal access token (read-only or read-write) in the app and add your private MCP endpoint to Claude, Cursor or another MCP client. The assistant can then read your statistics and currency, and with write access it can add flights. You can revoke the token at any time. ### Can my instructor sign my flights? Yes. Invite your instructor, who can then sign entries remotely with a stored or drawn signature, and signed entries are locked. Instructors can also write endorsements from EASA or FAA AC 61-65H templates, and these are printed in the EASA PDF. ### Which languages are available? The app is available in English, German, Italian, Slovenian, Croatian and Polish. Emails and legal texts are in English and German. ### Do I need a credit card for the trial? No. Register with your email and use everything for 90 days. ### Does my subscription renew automatically? No. Each term is a one-time payment through Stripe. We email you before it ends, and you decide whether to renew. ### What if I renew early? The new term is added to your current end date, so you don’t lose any days. ### Can I withdraw? Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal under our terms (AGB). ### Do I get an invoice? Yes. Every payment produces a numbered electronic invoice that you can download in the app. ## Guides and tools - [The EASA 90-day rule (FCL.060): when may you carry passengers?](https://www.flightlogbook.cloud/guides/easa-90-day-rule-fcl-060/): 3 take-offs and landings in 90 days: what counts, how night recency works, and how to work out your exact date. - [Is an electronic pilot logbook allowed under EASA?
