How the calculation works
The EASA 90-day rule (FCL.060): when may you carry passengers?- FCL.060(b)(1): to carry passengers as pilot in command or co-pilot you need at least 3 take-offs, approaches and landings in the preceding 90 days in an aircraft of the same type or class (or a full flight simulator of that type or class).
- Your day recency therefore lasts 90 days from the date of your third most recent landing.
- FCL.060(b)(2): without an instrument rating, carrying passengers at night as pilot in command also needs at least 1 take-off, approach and landing at night in the preceding 90 days.
- The calculator counts one take-off and one approach per landing and works per class or type, so enter only flights in the aircraft class or type you want to check.
Stop doing this by hand
flightlogbook.cloud tracks recency for every class and type you fly, plus night recency, SEP revalidation and medical validity, straight from your logbook.
